Fresh Fruits: Different fruits are grown in the region. The most important fruit includes apricot, mulberry, apples, peach, pear, grapes, walnut and cherries. Apricot and apple has different local and hybrid varieties.

Dried Fruits: Dried apricot was the most important snack and were used to prepare different juices and soups. Apple and mulberry are also dried and used in preparing different food items.

Kernal and Nuts: The kernal and nuts of different fruits were an important ingredient of local food. The apricot kernal and walnut are the most famous in Hunza.

Oils and other products:

1.  Kernal Oil: The local people extract oil from the kernal of different fruits. The apricot oil is very famous and is used with different traditional food items.

2. Qindha (mulberry syrup): Black and white colors of mulberry is produced in Hunza. The berries are squeezed through muslin cloth to extract juice. This juice is cooked for hours and it turns dark brown syrup. This syrup is used with mull, giyaling or any other local dishes.
