The language, traditions, culture of Wakhi ethnic group is different from Burushos in Hunza. As both Wakhi and Burushu ethnic groups belongs to Ismaili tradition of Islam so they both live in total harmony since centuries. The Burusho culture and language remained dominant and was regarded as official language and culture of the Hunza state. The Wakhi remained as ignored ethnic minority within state affairs however, the Wakhi culture and way of life was strong enough to survive as compare to Shina and Domaski in Hunza who somehow adopted the Burusho way of life in Hunza.
